The Best Care for You, Your Friends and Family!
Our first appointment will include a health history question and answer session to get a good feel for where you are health wise in your life. This will be followed by a physical examination including palpation, auscultation, pulse taking and tongue viewing. You will then make health goals and Jeff will develop a course of treatment and prognosis. The session will conclude with a treatment utilizing Chinese Medicine based on your individual needs determined and administered by Jeff.
Recurring Sessions will continue where we left off by revisiting our goals and how we have and will continue to progress toward those. The modalities needed will be employed and a unique treatment will be given.
During the Treatment Jeff provides a very soothing and relaxing environment educating, explaining and checking in with each needle insertion. Those who are needle sensitive can put their fear aside as they are cared for in a very nurturing manner. Bodywork as well as meditative music and aromatherapy is used when called for. Prepare to relax and be in the moment.
Below are five guidelines that will help you achieve maximum benefit from our work together.
#1 Consistency in Treatment—Commitment to the prescribed treatment plan will improve your health and get you feeling better in the least amount of time. Acupuncture, like other functional medicines work best with consistent and cumulative care.
#2 Eat an organic whole foods diet -- this is one of the most important steps you can take to heal all kinds of chronic issues. Many of our patients are asked to undergo allergy elimination protocols as well in order to achieve optimal benefit.
#3 Exercise 3-4 times per week -- for a minimum of 20 minutes per session take part in walking, stretching, yoga, biking, running, etc., whatever activity you LOVE to do! If you haven’t found an exercise practice that moves you, I can make suggestions.
#4 A few minutes a day of quiet time and introspection -- meditation is ideal for this purpose. It could be as few as 5 or as many as 60 minutes per day. Sit for whatever amount of time your schedule allows and what you feel comfortable with.
#5 Willingness to let go of addictions that are undermining your health -- smoking, drinking, high stress behaviors, over-the-counter, prescription and illicit drug abuse can all undermine the very best in wellness care, preventing anything from happening.
Chinese medicine can work on very profound levels if these basic steps are taken. We only ask that you do the best you can to follow these guidelines, as they will ensure that you receive the full benefit from our care. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about any of the above and how they should be fulfilled.
